General Questions

At Vanguard Pest Defense, we handle all common residential and commercial pests, including ants, spider, roaches, mice, rats, wasps, hornets, fleas, ticks, mosquitos, termites, and more. If you’re dealing with a pest not listed here, just reach out – chances are we can take care of it or point you in the right direction.

Yes. All of our products and application methods are designed with safety in mind. We use EPA – approved treatments and apply them according to strict safety standards. When used correctly , these treatments pose little to no risk to pets or children. If any special precautions are needed for specific service, we will explain them clearly before we begin.

Most general pest control services take 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of your home and the type of pests being treated. More complex issues like severe infestations or specialty pests may require additional time. After inspecting your property, we’ll give you a clear estimate before starting any work.

Most customer notice a significant reduction in pest activity within 24-48 hours. Some pests, like ants or spiders, may take a few days as the treatment fully activates and disrupts their nesting sites. Severe infestations or pests like roaches may require follow-up visits for complete elimination. We’ll walk you through what to expect based on your specific situation.

Services Info

Most homes benefit from quarterly treatments (every 3 months) to maintain a pest-free environment year-round. Severe infestations or high-pressure areas may require monthly service at first. We’ll recommend the best schedule after inspecting your property.

Yes. We provide both one-time service and ongoing maitenance plans. One-time treatments are great for quick problems, while recurring service keeps pests from returning.

Generally, you don’t need to do much. We just ask that you:

  • Clear access to baseboards and enter points
  • Secure pets during treatments
  • Remove clutter where pests may hide. For specialty pests (fleas, bed bugs, roaches), we’ll provide specific prep instructions beforehand.

For most general pest services, staying home is perfectly fine. Certain treatments – like flea, bed bug, or heavy roach applications – may require you to be out for 1-2 hours. We’ll let you know beforehand if that applies to your service.
